Monsoon Session: "Opposition Doomed to 20 Years Out!" Shah Roars

Amit Shah blasts Opposition's distrust in India's foreign minister.

In a fiery parliamentary debate on Operation Sindoor, Union Home Minister Amit Shah lambasted the Opposition for questioning Foreign Minister S Jaishankar's assurance that the US played no role in the recent India-Pakistan ceasefire. Shah accused the Opposition of lacking faith in India's leadership while blindly trusting foreign entities.

"They doubt our own foreign minister but believe another country," Shah thundered, addressing the Opposition's interruptions during Jaishankar's speech. "This is why they sit there, and they'll stay there for the next 20 years!" he added, pointing to the Opposition benches amid their vocal protests.

Jaishankar had earlier clarified India's stance, refuting claims by former US President Donald Trump about mediating between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. "No call took place between Prime Minister Modi and Trump from April 22 to June 17, when the ceasefire was announced," Jaishankar stated, dismissing Trump's offer to mediate on Pakistan's illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah's sharp rebuke came as the Opposition repeatedly disrupted the session, prompting him to defend Jaishankar's credibility. "Will you not trust your own foreign minister?" Shah challenged, as the debate grew increasingly heated.
