Missile Debris Hits Oracle Building in Dubai as Iran Escalates Gulf Attacks
Missile debris damages Dubai buildings as Iran attacks escalate, with injuries reported in Bahrain from intercepted drones.
A building housing operations of Oracle in Dubai sustained minor damage after debris from an intercepted missile struck its facade, authorities confirmed on Saturday. The incident occurred in Dubai Internet City, a major hub for global technology firms, though no injuries were reported.
According to officials, the debris fell following an aerial interception, part of ongoing defensive responses to escalating regional hostilities. The Dubai Media Office stated that emergency services responded promptly to the scene, ensuring public safety and assessing the limited structural impact. A separate incident in the Dubai Marina also saw debris strike another building’s exterior, again without causing casualties.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region, as Iran intensifies attacks on neighbouring countries. In Bahrain, authorities reported that shrapnel from intercepted drones injured four civilians and damaged several homes in the Sitra area. Emergency and civil defence teams were deployed, and officials described the injuries as minor.

The recent escalation follows warnings issued earlier this week by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which had threatened to target American technology firms operating in the region. The strikes are part of a broader conflict that began after US-Israeli military actions against Iran in late February, triggering a series of retaliatory attacks across the Gulf.
Iran’s campaign has included targeting both military and civilian infrastructure, raising concerns about regional security and economic stability. Energy facilities have been particularly vulnerable, underscoring the strategic importance of the Gulf’s oil and gas sector. The risk of collateral damage to commercial hubs like Dubai has also increased as interceptions take place over populated areas.
On Friday, a separate incident highlighted the dangers of falling debris when a projectile struck the Habshan gas complex in Abu Dhabi, killing one person and injuring four others. As tensions continue to escalate, authorities across the region remain on high alert, balancing defensive measures with efforts to minimize harm to civilians and critical infrastructure.
