‘Message for Mamata’: BJP Links Bihar Sweep to Bengal Election Momentum

NDA trends ignite 2026 Bengal battle warning.

As NDA trends point to a sweeping Bihar victory, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya declared the mandate a direct signal to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, asserting that the alliance's governance credibility will reshape the 2026 assembly contest. Speaking on NDTV amid ongoing counting, he linked Bihar's projected win to sustained NDA efforts in youth job creation and women's entrepreneurship programs, framing it as a replicable model for national expansion and a benchmark against Trinamool Congress rule.

Malviya praised Nitish Kumar and BJP's Bihar unit for delivering tangible opportunities—skill training for youth and micro-credit for women-led businesses—while contrasting this with what he termed the "disastrous" 15-year Lalu Prasad Yadav era that allegedly crippled the state's infrastructure and economy. This sharp dichotomy, he argued, validates NDA's development narrative and positions it to exploit anti-incumbency in Bengal, where similar promises of progress could sway voters disillusioned with the incumbent regime.

Rejecting claims of BJP's marginality in Bengal, Malviya highlighted the party's surge from three seats in 2016 to 77 in 2021, maintaining a steady 40% vote share across Lok Sabha and assembly polls despite Trinamool's dominance. Videos circulating from Kolkata and districts showed BJP workers celebrating Bihar trends with fireworks and slogans, reflecting boosted morale and organizational momentum as the party gears up for an intensified challenge in the eastern state.

Accusing Mamata's government of five years of governance failures, Malviya cited Sandeshkhali atrocities, the RG Kar rape-murder case, communal flare-ups in Malda and Murshidabad, and pervasive violence reminiscent of Bihar's past 'Jungle Raj'. He warned that ensuring free elections remains critical, alleging Trinamool's reliance on intimidation tactics to suppress opposition, a hurdle the BJP vows to overcome through central intervention and grassroots mobilization.

Malviya predicted that Bengal's electorate, fed up with alleged lawlessness and corruption, is poised to reject Trinamool in 2026, with NDA's Bihar success serving as a catalyst to amplify public discontent and present a viable alternative focused on security, development, and accountability under BJP leadership.
