Mayawati Claims BSP Rally Turnout Leaves Opposition Sleepless and Rattled

Record crowd at Kanshi Ram rally unnerves opposition parties.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati declared that the unprecedented turnout at the 19th death anniversary rally for party founder Kanshi Ram on Thursday has left rival political parties "sleepless and rattled." The massive gathering at the Kanshi Ram Memorial on VIP Road in Lucknow showcased the BSP’s enduring strength, with a significant presence of youth and women, signaling a strong push toward the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

In a fiery post on X, Mayawati highlighted the electrifying atmosphere at the rally, where supporters chanted slogans vowing to install her as Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister for a fifth term. The four-time chief minister described the event as a testament to the BSP’s unwavering commitment to realizing Dr. BR Ambedkar’s vision of empowering the oppressed as the ruling class through democratic means. “The record-breaking crowd has shown the nation the resolve of the Bahujan Samaj to achieve political dominance,” she stated, emphasizing the rally’s impact on national politics.

Mayawati noted that the massive turnout, drawing lakhs from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, has unsettled opposition leaders, who she claimed were “losing their composure” over the BSP’s display of unity and strength. She urged her supporters to dismiss the “baseless and petty remarks” from rivals, accusing them of resorting to divisive tactics to undermine the BSP’s momentum. “Our focus remains on Mission 2027, and we must stay vigilant against deceitful strategies,” she cautioned.

The BSP chief expressed heartfelt gratitude to party workers and leaders for their meticulous efforts in organizing the rally and ensuring the safe transport of participants. She also acknowledged tributes paid to Kanshi Ram across various states, underscoring the nationwide resonance of his legacy.

Mayawati called on her cadre to intensify grassroots efforts, strengthen voter outreach, and counter opposition propaganda as the party gears up for the 2027 elections. “The enthusiasm of our supporters, especially the youth and women, is a clear signal that the BSP’s mission is unstoppable,” she asserted, reaffirming her commitment to the party’s goal of reclaiming power in Uttar Pradesh.
