Mamata Banerjee Asks Rebel TMC MPs To Join BJP And Contest Elections

Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday launched a strong attack on dissenting leaders within her party, challenging those opposing the leadership to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and contest elections openly. Speaking at a party event in Kolkata, Banerjee warned that leaders she described as "traitors" would not be welcomed back into the TMC and accused them of attempting to weaken the organisation from within.

Addressing party workers and supporters, Banerjee said those dissatisfied with the TMC should leave the party rather than work against it internally. She challenged the rebel leaders to join the BJP and face voters directly, expressing confidence that the people of West Bengal would respond through the electoral process. Her remarks reflected a firm stance against internal dissent at a time when the party is facing challenges from within its ranks.

Banerjee also expressed gratitude to the families of TMC workers who lost their lives, saying their continued support demonstrated their commitment to the party despite what she described as attempts to influence them. She highlighted the presence of these families at the party event as a sign of their continued association with the TMC and appreciation for the sacrifices made by party workers.
