Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday in what was described as a courtesy meeting. The interaction focused on discussions around the Bharatiya Janata Party’s recent electoral performance and the broader direction of national development initiatives under the central government.

Following the meeting, Maurya shared details of the interaction on social media platform X, where he congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the BJP’s electoral successes and praised his leadership at both national and international levels. He described the meeting as an opportunity to acknowledge the party’s recent political gains and reflect on ongoing governance priorities.

In his post, Maurya highlighted the Prime Minister’s efforts toward what he termed the vision of a “Viksit Bharat,” or developed India, emphasizing initiatives aimed at economic growth, social transformation, and global engagement. He also noted PM Modi’s efforts in promoting messages of peace and harmony internationally, referencing the teachings of Lord Buddha.

A key focus of Maurya’s remarks was the BJP’s recent electoral performance in eastern India, particularly in West Bengal and Assam. He described the party’s victories in these states as “historic and unprecedented,” attributing them to growing public trust in the BJP’s governance model and development agenda.

Maurya also reflected on the central government’s broader performance, stating that India continues to set new benchmarks in development, governance, and public welfare under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He added that the Prime Minister’s guidance serves as a source of inspiration for party leaders and workers, motivating them to work with greater dedication toward public service.

Concluding his message, the Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for taking time from his schedule to provide guidance on governance matters, including issues related to the administration and future development priorities of Uttar Pradesh.
