Kangana, Mahua Moitra & Supriya Sule Groove Together at Naveen Jindal’s Daughter’s Wedding

Kangana Ranaut, Mahua Moitra and Supriya Sule dance together at Naveen Jindal’s daughter’s wedding sangeet.

Indian politics saw an unexpected spectacle this week as BJP MP Kangana Ranaut joined TMC’s Mahua Moitra and NCP (SP) lawmaker Supriya Sule on stage for a lively dance performance. The performance took place during the wedding celebrations of industrialist-turned-politician Naveen Jindal’s daughter, Yashaswini Jindal, in Delhi. The trio danced to the popular Bollywood number Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om, with Jindal himself taking centre stage.

The video of the performance quickly went viral, leaving social media users amazed at the unusual cross-party collaboration. Clips show Ranaut, Moitra, and Sule perfectly in sync, demonstrating a remarkable camaraderie despite their political differences. Ranaut had shared behind-the-scenes rehearsal photos earlier in the week, teasing the public about the upcoming performance.

Yashaswini Jindal tied the knot with Shashwat Somani on Friday at the Jindal House, with the festivities including a pre-wedding mehendi ceremony and a sangeet on December 4. The event attracted a star-studded guest list, including politicians from multiple parties, reflecting a rare moment of unity outside the parliamentary corridors.

Reports suggest that the politicians practiced extensively before the sangeet, perfecting the choreography for the stage. Ranaut herself shared pictures of rehearsals with Jindal and Moitra, highlighting a light-hearted side to politicians who often appear as rivals in Parliament. She captioned one post, “Some filmy moments with fellow parliamentarians ha ha. Rehearsing for [Naveen Jindal] ji’s daughter’s wedding sangeet.”

Netizens were quick to respond to the unusual spectacle, dubbing it a “crossover performance” that transcended political rivalry. Many noted the contrast between their parliamentary clashes and the cheerful on-stage unity, remarking that politicians “really don’t care outside Parliament.”

The event is now being widely shared as an example of how political adversaries can set aside differences in personal celebrations. The viral dance has sparked discussions online about the human side of politicians, showing that even in the midst of heated sessions in the Winter Parliament, camaraderie and fun are still possible.
