Jensen Huang To Join Trump’s State Dinner Welcoming Chinese President Xi Jinping In Washington

Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang is expected to attend a state dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump for Chinese President Xi Jinping next week, according to a person familiar with the matter. Huang is expected to be among the guests at the event during a visit to Washington, although the official invitation list has not yet been made public. The person familiar with the matter spoke on condition of anonymity because details of the guest list have not been formally announced. Nvidia did not comment on whether Huang had received an invitation, while the White House had not immediately responded to a request for comment.

The attendance of one of the world's most prominent artificial intelligence executives would come as the United States and China continue to negotiate over technology, trade and access to advanced computing products. Huang’s presence would also highlight Nvidia’s growing role in discussions surrounding US-China technology relations. Nvidia has faced restrictions on the export of some of its advanced artificial intelligence chips to China because of US national security rules.
