IT Officer Used Wife’s Fake Job to Launder ₹37 Lakh: Rajasthan ACB

Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau uncovered a brazen kickback scheme where Poonam Dixit, wife of senior IT official Pradyuman Dixit, pocketed Rs 37.54 lakh in "salary" from two private firms without ever stepping foot in their offices. The Joint Director at RajComp Info Services allegedly rigged government tenders worth crores for OrionPro Solutions and Treegen Software Limited, directing them to hire his wife as cover for illegal payments between January 2019 and September 2020.
Bank records seized by ACB show 47 transfers across Poonam’s five personal accounts, labeled as monthly salary and freelance fees despite zero attendance. Pradyuman personally verified her fabricated timesheets while approving multi-crore contracts for the same companies. The scam surfaced after a whistleblower petitioned Rajasthan High Court, prompting a September 2024 directive forly for ACB probe launched July 3, 2025.
Investigators found Poonam listed as full-time employee at OrionPro while simultaneously "freelancing" for Treegen—both firms securing RajComp tenders within weeks of her payroll addition. ACB sources reveal the couple used the funds for luxury purchases, including a Jaipur apartment and high-end vehicles registered under benami names. Digital forensics recovered deleted WhatsApp chats where Pradyuman instructed company directors on exact transfer amounts timed with tender approvals.

The case exposes systemic loopholes in Rajasthan’s e-governance procurement, where shell directorships and proxy employees mask corruption. RajComp has suspended Pradyuman pending inquiry, while ACB raids continue at company offices in Jaipur and Gurugram. High Court monitors progress, with next hearing scheduled November 2025. Similar ghost-employee rackets in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka have triggered nationwide scrutiny of IT tender processes.
