Inside PM Modi’s EAC-PM Meeting: Growth Push And Global Risks Take Center Stage

EAC-PM discusses reforms, global risks and growth strategy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a meeting with members of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) in New Delhi, where discussions focused on strengthening India’s economic growth amid ongoing global uncertainties. The meeting was held against the backdrop of international economic volatility, with policymakers reviewing key strategies to maintain domestic stability and momentum.

According to official sources, the discussion centred on a range of policy ideas aimed at boosting economic performance while improving both ease of living and ease of doing business. The Prime Minister and council members exchanged views on structural reforms that could enhance productivity, investment climate, and overall economic resilience in the face of external pressures.

The EAC-PM members also presented their assessment of global developments, including the impact of the ongoing West Asia conflict on India and the broader world economy. The review highlighted concerns over potential disruptions in energy markets, trade flows, and supply chain stability, all of which could influence India’s economic trajectory in the coming months.

Officials indicated that the meeting placed strong emphasis on ensuring that India remains insulated as much as possible from global shocks through policy preparedness and long-term planning. The council is understood to have suggested measures that could further strengthen macroeconomic fundamentals while supporting growth-oriented reforms across sectors.

The discussions also reportedly included ideas to enhance administrative efficiency and deepen reforms that make governance more responsive to citizen needs. These efforts align with the government’s broader focus on improving economic competitiveness while ensuring inclusive development across urban and rural regions.
