Haryana CM Accuses Congress, AAP Of Failing To Protect Youth Interests
Haryana CM alleges opposition parties harmed youth interests and opportunities.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday accused the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of compromising the future of young people by failing to effectively address issues related to examination paper leaks. He said the central government has taken the issue seriously and is working to strengthen measures to prevent unfair practices in competitive examinations.
Speaking to reporters in Chandigarh, Saini said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government introduced legislation in 2024 to curb paper leaks and was now working to make the framework more stringent. He said the government’s focus was on ensuring transparency in examinations and protecting the interests of students preparing for competitive exams.
Targeting Opposition parties, the Haryana Chief Minister alleged that their primary agenda was to oppose the BJP and the Prime Minister rather than provide solutions. Referring to recent developments in Punjab, he criticised AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that they remained silent despite protests by students over an alleged pharmacy examination paper leak in the state.

Saini also attacked the Congress, claiming that during its rule, young people faced difficulties in accessing fair employment opportunities due to what he described as the “kharchi-parchi” system and frequent paper leak incidents. He said former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had raised concerns about such issues in Parliament in 1986, but no specific law was introduced at that time to tackle the problem.
The Chief Minister further questioned the AAP government’s record in Delhi and Punjab, challenging its leaders to release a White Paper on how many underprivileged students had been supported in achieving careers as doctors, engineers, or civil servants. He said the Haryana government had taken initiatives such as ‘Mission Buniyad’ and ‘Mission 100’ to help government school students prepare for competitive examinations including IITs, IIMs, NITs, and NEET.
Responding to another issue, Saini said Haryana was aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s appeal to reduce diesel consumption by promoting electric vehicles (EVs). He highlighted state measures including full tax exemption on EVs priced up to ₹30 lakh, 50 per cent tax exemption on vehicles above that price range, and plans to expand charging infrastructure across Haryana.
