Gulab Devi Warns No Guilty Person Will Be Spared In Ram Temple Donation Case
Gulab Devi warns action against guilty Ram Temple case accused
Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi on Wednesday said that no influential person or anyone accused of misappropriating donations would be spared if found guilty in the alleged irregularities related to donations collected for the Ram Temple. She asserted that the state government would take action against those found responsible after the completion of an inquiry. Speaking at an event in Uttar Pradesh, Devi said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and had formed a committee to investigate the allegations.
She said the government’s decision to examine the matter had received appreciation for demonstrating its commitment to accountability. Referring to those who may be involved in the alleged donation irregularities, Devi said that even a powerful or influential person would face legal consequences if found guilty. She used the terms “dhurandhar” and “chanda chor” while emphasising that no individual would be protected because of their position or influence.
“The chief minister has constituted such a committee that even if the guilty person is a ‘dhurandhar’, he or she won’t be spared,” Devi said while addressing the gathering. She added that the government’s approach showed that strict action would be taken against anyone found involved in wrongdoing. The minister made the remarks while attending the launch event of the Mukhyamantri Shikshak Cashless Medical Scheme, a health security initiative aimed at providing cashless medical facilities to around 12 lakh teaching and non-teaching staff members and their dependents in the state.

The controversy over alleged irregularities in Ram Temple donations has triggered political debate, with questions being raised over the handling of funds collected for the construction of the temple. Authorities have maintained that allegations, if any, will be examined through the inquiry process and appropriate action will follow based on the findings. The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been a major religious and political issue in India for decades, with the construction project receiving donations from devotees across the country.
The Uttar Pradesh government has said that transparency and accountability will remain central to any investigation into allegations of financial misconduct. Devi reiterated that the government would allow the inquiry to proceed independently and that those found guilty would face action under the law. Her comments come amid continued political discussions over corruption allegations and the government’s response to complaints involving public contributions.
