The deal's glaring irregularities are impossible to ignore: merely two days post-transaction, authorities issued a stamp duty waiver that reduced the obligation to an absurd ₹500 on a ₹300 crore deal, defying all norms of financial scrutiny. Compounding the scandal, the sprawling 40-acre plot falls under the protected 'Watan' category reserved exclusively for the Mahar community as per the Bombay Inferior Village Watans Abolition Act, 1958, which strictly prohibits sales without explicit government permission—prompting widespread suspicions of deliberate legal violations and elite influence-peddling.

Opposition leaders are unleashing unrelenting fury, with Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Ambadas Danve sarcastically highlighting Amedia's meager ₹1 lakh capital base and questioning its lightning-fast approvals to develop an IT park and data center in ultra-premium Koregaon Park, all wrapped up in just 27 days despite the firm's complete lack of prior experience. "Invoking the revered names of Phule, Shahu, and Ambedkar while shamelessly pocketing Mahar Watan land—this is Ajit Dada's twisted version of 'progressive' Maharashtra," he thundered, amplifying calls for accountability.
