Dushyant Chautala Alleges Police Officer Aimed Pistol at Him in Hisar

Dushyant Chautala alleges Haryana cop pointed pistol during Hisar visit.,

Dushyant Chautala, former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana and a senior Leader of the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), has accused a police officer of pointing a pistol at him during a confrontation in the city, describing the conduct as that of "goons". The allegation has triggered a fresh political controversy in the state.

According to Chautala, the incident took place at Sabzi Mandi Chowk on Friday afternoon when he was on his way to meet Hisar Superintendent of Police Sidhant Jain. He said a police officer blocked his convoy using an official vehicle and allegedly aimed a pistol at him during the standoff, escalating tensions between the political leader and law enforcement personnel.

Chautala stated that he was heading to meet senior police officials to protest against the arrest of JJP workers in connection with demonstrations held on April 16 at Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology in Hisar. He alleged that the arrests were unjustified and that he was attempting to raise the issue formally with the authorities when the incident occurred.

The JJP leader strongly criticised the conduct of the police, saying such actions were unacceptable and undermined democratic norms. His remarks have intensified the political tone of the episode, with the party likely to seek accountability and action against those involved in the alleged confrontation.

As of now, there has been no detailed response from the Haryana Police regarding the specific allegations made by Chautala. It remains unclear whether any internal inquiry or official clarification will be initiated into the matter, even as the claims gain attention in political and public circles.

The incident adds to ongoing tensions surrounding the handling of protests and law enforcement actions in the region. With allegations of misuse of authority now being raised by a senior political figure, the situation is expected to draw further scrutiny and possibly escalate into a broader political dispute in the coming days.
