BJP Targets Tejashwi Yadav Over Absence During Bihar Assembly Monsoon Session

BJP raises concerns over Tejashwi Yadav’s Assembly absence.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has questioned the absence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav during the Monsoon Session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. BJP leaders criticised Yadav's absence from the House proceedings, alleging that the opposition leader was not fulfilling his responsibilities at a time when important legislative discussions were underway.

The Bihar Assembly's Monsoon Session began with political tensions after BJP leaders raised questions over Tejashwi Yadav's participation in the proceedings. The ruling party targeted the RJD leader over his absence, with some BJP leaders using the term "Pardesi Yadav" while questioning his availability during the session. The remarks triggered a political exchange between the ruling alliance and the opposition over the role and presence of the Leader of Opposition.

BJP leaders argued that the Leader of Opposition holds an important constitutional responsibility and should actively participate in Assembly debates, especially during a session where issues concerning the state are discussed. They accused Tejashwi Yadav of remaining away from the House at a crucial time, while the RJD has maintained its political stance on various issues affecting Bihar.

The criticism comes amid continued political confrontations between the ruling alliance and the opposition in Bihar. In previous Assembly proceedings, Tejashwi Yadav has led opposition attacks on issues including electoral roll revision and government policies, resulting in heated exchanges inside the House. The Assembly has witnessed several instances of disruption as parties debated major political and administrative matters.

The controversy over Yadav's absence has added another point of disagreement between the BJP-led ruling alliance and the RJD ahead of upcoming political challenges in the state. BJP leaders are using the issue to question the opposition's approach, while RJD supporters continue to highlight their party's position on governance and public concerns.

The latest developments reflect the continuing political rivalry in Bihar, where both ruling and opposition parties are attempting to shape public opinion on leadership, accountability, and representation. As the Assembly session progresses, debates over attendance, participation, and key state issues are expected to remain part of the wider political discourse.
