Bengaluru Student Brutally Murdered Near Railway Tracks by Spurned Lover

A 21-year-old B.Pharm student was fatally attacked while returning from an exam in Bengaluru.

In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through the city, a 21-year-old college student was brutally murdered in broad daylight near the Srirampura railway track in Bengaluru on October 17, 2025. The victim, identified as Yamini Priya, was a B.Pharm student at a college in the Hosakerehalli area of Karnataka’s capital.

According to reports, Yamini Priya left her home around 7 a.m. to attend an examination at her college. The attack occurred as she was returning home, walking near the Mantri Mall area. A youth allegedly approached her from behind, slit her throat, and fled the scene, leaving her in a pool of blood.

Local residents who witnessed the gruesome act immediately alerted the Srirampura police. Officers rushed to the location, conducted a preliminary inspection, and collected evidence from the crime scene. The police have launched an intensive manhunt to apprehend the suspect, with investigations reveal that the suspect acted after Yamini Priya rejected his advances.
