Andhra Leaders Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan Appeal For Support To PM Modi

Andhra leaders urge public support for PM Modi.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday extended strong support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging people to stand behind his leadership and vision for India’s development. The leaders made the remarks during a public meeting held at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district on the occasion of the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport.

Chandrababu Naidu described Prime Minister Modi as a “blessing” for India and praised his leadership, saying the country was fortunate to have him at a time when several democracies around the world were facing leadership challenges. He urged citizens to protect Modi’s leadership, stating that his experience and vision were crucial for India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief highlighted various initiatives undertaken during Modi’s tenure, including digital public infrastructure, financial inclusion through Jan Dhan accounts and the JAM (Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile) framework. He also pointed to developments in infrastructure, renewable energy, transportation, ports and welfare schemes, saying these initiatives had strengthened India’s position globally.

Naidu further praised reforms such as the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and government welfare programmes, including direct benefit transfers that he said helped ensure benefits reached eligible beneficiaries. He also credited the Modi government with improving India’s foreign policy position and maintaining internal security, expressing confidence that the country would continue progressing under his leadership.

Pawan Kalyan, who leads the Jana Sena Party (JSP), also defended the Prime Minister and expressed concern over the criticism and language used against Modi during recent protests. He said Modi’s efforts and struggles for the country should be recognised, adding that leadership of a nation required immense responsibility and commitment.

The Jana Sena leader said Modi had worked continuously to guide India’s development and called upon people to support him for as long as he wished to continue serving the country. He also emphasised the importance of teaching good values to younger generations and encouraging them to become responsible citizens. The remarks came as leaders of the TDP and JSP, both allies of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), shared the stage with the Prime Minister at the airport inauguration event.
