Akhilesh Yadav Says Education System Has Collapsed, Launches Vision India Movement
Akhilesh Yadav launches Vision India movement over paper leak crisis.
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday announced the launch of a new political and social initiative titled “Vision India”, positioning it as a movement against repeated incidents of examination paper leaks and what he described as systemic failures in the country’s education system. The announcement was made through an official statement shared on his social media platform ‘X’, where Yadav said the initiative aims to support students affected by irregularities in recruitment and examination processes.
He argued that recurring paper leak incidents have eroded trust in the education and examination framework, leaving young aspirants facing uncertainty and repeated hardships. Yadav stated that the “Vision India” movement is intended to push the country towards what he called a “positive, realistic and progressive future.” According to him, the initiative seeks to address structural problems in the education system and promote reforms that ensure fairness, transparency and equal opportunity for all students, regardless of background.
In his statement, the SP chief also described the current situation as one where citizens are facing “difficulties and struggles at every step,” claiming that governance and institutional challenges have compounded the problems faced by youth. He said the movement would work towards building what he termed a “Neo India”, which he described as a more inclusive and development-oriented national framework. “The ‘Vision India’ movement strives to transform India into ‘Neo India’ for the development of our country and countrymen, without any bias or discrimination,” the statement read, emphasising the need for a unified approach to national development based on fairness and opportunity.

Yadav’s remarks come amid ongoing political debate over examination reforms and repeated allegations of question paper leaks in several recruitment and competitive examinations across states. These incidents have frequently sparked protests from students and job aspirants, who have demanded stricter enforcement, better monitoring systems and accountability from examining bodies. The SP leader has previously raised concerns over youth unemployment and examination irregularities, often positioning such issues as central to his party’s political messaging.
The launch of “Vision India” is seen as an extension of this focus, aiming to consolidate public sentiment among students and young job seekers. Political observers note that the announcement could further intensify the national debate around education reforms, with opposition parties increasingly highlighting exam-related disruptions as a governance issue. Meanwhile, the SP has indicated that the movement will involve outreach programmes and public engagement initiatives in the coming months as part of its broader campaign strategy.
