A devastating road accident in Secunderabad, Telangana, claimed the life of a 7-year-old Class-I student on January 22, 2026. The boy, enrolled at Trimulgherry Army School, was riding pillion on a scooty driven by his mother when the two-wheeler skidded near the RK Puram Flyover. An Army truck following closely ran over them, resulting in the child’s immediate death and leaving his mother with critical injuries.

Shocking CCTV footage captured the tragic moment, showing the scooty losing control and falling directly in the path of the heavy Army vehicle. Neredmet police have registered a case and launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the skid and the subsequent collision.

The boy’s father is an Indian Army personnel currently posted in Jammu and Kashmir, adding a layer of poignancy to the family’s loss. Authorities are examining factors such as road conditions, vehicle speed, and possible mechanical issues, while the Army has yet to issue an official statement on the involvement of its truck.
