VTU Announces Results 10 Minutes After Final Exams End, Sets National Record

VTU announces engineering results within 10 minutes of exams.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has set a new benchmark in academic administration by announcing final semester engineering examination results just 10 minutes after the completion of the exams. The results were jointly released by VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof S Vidyashankar and Registrar (Evaluation) Prof UJ Ujwal, marking what the university described as a historic achievement in speeding up the evaluation and result declaration process.

According to the university, a total of 56,192 students appeared for the BE and BTech final semester examinations. The examination concluded at 5:30 pm on Friday, and the results were officially declared by 5:40 pm. VTU reported an overall pass percentage of 99.98 percent, reflecting one of the highest success rates recorded by the institution in recent years. The rapid declaration of results drew attention from students and academic circles across Karnataka.

University officials stated that the complete evaluation process was finished eight days earlier than in previous years, setting another internal record for VTU. Earlier, the university had reduced the result declaration time to within one hour after examinations, but this year it significantly improved the turnaround time further. Officials also introduced direct result delivery through mobile phones, allowing students to instantly access their scores without delays or website congestion.

The achievement highlights the growing adoption of digital technologies and streamlined evaluation systems in higher education institutions across India. Universities are increasingly using automated processing, digital assessment tools, and real-time data systems to accelerate examination procedures while maintaining accuracy and transparency. Education experts say such initiatives reduce student anxiety, speed up admission and placement processes, and improve overall administrative efficiency.

VTU, one of India’s largest technological universities, oversees hundreds of affiliated engineering colleges across Karnataka and conducts examinations for thousands of students each semester. The university’s latest milestone is being viewed as a significant advancement in academic management and digital governance within the higher education sector. Officials indicated that VTU plans to continue improving its examination and evaluation systems to further enhance the student experience in the coming years.
