UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Ministers Extend Warm Navratri Greetings

Leaders wish peace, prosperity, and happiness as Sharadiya Navratri begins in UP.

On the inaugural day of Sharadiya Navratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with his deputies and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, extended heartfelt greetings to the public, wishing for peace, prosperity, and spiritual growth. The nine-day festival, which began on September 22, celebrates the worship of Goddess Durga's nine forms, starting with Maa Shailputri, and symbolises the triumph of good over evil. Navratri, a significant Hindu festival, also marks the onset of India's festive season, drawing millions to temples and community celebrations across the state.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Adityanath shared a Sanskrit shloka and wrote, "On the auspicious occasion of the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, I pray to Maa Shailputri that the seeds of restraint, courage, and determination germinate in everyone’s life. May Maa’s grace illuminate the entire world with rays of happiness, peace, and prosperity. Jai Maa Shailputri!" His message emphasised spiritual values and divine blessings, resonating with the festival’s themes of devotion and renewal.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also took to X, stating, "Greetings to all countrymen and residents of the state on the festival of faith, strength, and devotion—Sharadiya Navratri. May Jagatjanani Maa Durga bless everyone’s life with peace, prosperity, and happiness." Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak paid homage, saying, "On the pious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, I bow at the feet of Maa Shailputri, the first form of Adi Shakti Maa Bhagwati." Uttar Pradesh BJP president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary added, "I extend heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all residents of the state. I pray to Maa Shailputri for everyone’s welfare. Jai Mata Di!"

Sharadiya Navratri, observed with fervour across India, commemorates Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura, symbolising the triumph of righteousness. In Uttar Pradesh, the festival sees vibrant celebrations, including prayers, fasting, and cultural events. The leaders’ messages reflect the state’s commitment to upholding cultural traditions while fostering unity and optimism among citizens during this auspicious period.
