TCS To Design And Implement Odisha Govt’s AI-Enabled IFMS 3.0

TCS to roll out Odisha’s IFMS 3.0 with AI tools, real-time analytics, and a multilingual chatbot for unified finance.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has teamed up with the Odisha government to design and deploy the third-generation Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS 3.0), building on a partnership dating back to 2005. Starting with the Integrated Odisha Treasury Management System, the collaboration evolved through IFMS and IFMS 2.0, now introducing advanced AI capabilities to enhance governance efficiency.

TCS will integrate its AI Workbench, an open-source platform for AI/ML projects, supporting model development, monitoring, and retraining. Key features include analytics and machine learning for decision-making, plus a multilingual chatbot for handling FAQs, automating service desk tasks, and improving user interactions.

Girish Ramachandran, President of Growth Markets and Public Services at TCS, stated, "IFMS 3.0 combines advanced technology and user-centric design to deliver smarter governance. With real-time financial visibility, enhanced precision, and a future-ready architecture, this platform will empower Odisha to deliver more effective public services."

Tej Paul Bhatla, Senior Vice President of TCS Public Services, added that the system unifies budgeting, payments, receipts, and accounts into a single source of truth, enabling real-time programme monitoring, faster reporting, and data-driven decisions via AI insights and intuitive workflows.

IFMS 3.0 focuses on core functions like budgeting, expenditure, revenue, and accounts management, with upgrades for streamlined processes, improved data accuracy, and instant monitoring—aiming to boost transparency and operational agility in Odisha's financial ecosystem.
