Samarth Singh Held for Seven Days; Police to Examine Pregnancy, Fights, Crime Scene Details

Police intensify interrogation of Twisha Sharma's husband, Samarth Singh; seven-day custody holds for investigation.

The investigation into the death of Twisha Sharma has entered a crucial phase as Bhopal Police begin an extensive interrogation of her husband, Samarth Singh, who has been placed in custody for seven days. According to police sources, investigators are expected to closely examine multiple aspects of the couple’s relationship, including alleged domestic disputes, Twisha’s pregnancy, her movements before her death, and Samarth Singh’s conduct following the incident.

Officials said the questioning will go beyond a routine statement and will involve a detailed reconstruction of events leading up to Twisha Sharma’s death at the couple’s Bhopal residence on May 12. Investigators are expected to analyze call records, CCTV footage, digital communications, and timelines connected to the case. Police sources also indicated that Samarth Singh may be taken to the crime scene for spot verification as authorities attempt to match his version of events with physical evidence collected during the investigation.

The probe is also likely to focus heavily on allegations raised by Twisha Sharma’s family, who have claimed that she faced emotional distress and tension within her marital home. Messages reportedly exchanged between Twisha and her mother have already become an important part of the investigation, with some conversations referring to disputes over her pregnancy and describing a hostile environment. Authorities are examining whether these circumstances may have contributed to the events preceding her death.
