Muzaffarnagar Police Nab Two Suspects In Minor’s Abduction and Assault Case

Police have arrested two men in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl. The accused have been identified as Nazim and Mohammad Adil, a doctor. According to investigators, the girl was allegedly taken away by Nazim with the assistance of Adil. Police launched an extensive search after receiving information about her disappearance and suspected assault.
Investigators examined footage from around 600 CCTV cameras as they attempted to trace the movements of the accused and locate the girl. The search continued for three days before police recovered the minor on Friday. The operation involved checking surveillance footage from multiple locations and following leads that helped investigators establish the movements of those allegedly involved in the incident.
Police later confronted Nazim on Friday night. During the encounter, officers opened fire and injured him before taking him into custody, according to officials. Mohammad Adil was also arrested for his alleged role in the case. Both accused were subsequently produced before a court and sent to judicial custody on Saturday as the investigation continued.

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 64(1) and 70(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The charges cover alleged rape, gang rape, sexual offences against a child and an offence involving a member of a Scheduled Caste.
Investigators are now working to establish the precise sequence of events and determine the individual roles allegedly played by the two accused. Police are expected to examine additional CCTV footage and other evidence and record the victim's statement according to legal procedure. Further investigation will also determine whether additional evidence or suspects emerge during the process.
The Muzaffarnagar case has drawn attention to crimes involving minors in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities are continuing the investigation before filing the chargesheet, while the court will determine the culpability of the accused based on the evidence presented. The arrests and recovery of the girl followed a coordinated police operation involving extensive surveillance checks across the area.
