People’s dreams shape Maharashtra’s 2047 vision
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis unveiled the draft of the *Viksit Maharashtra 2047* vision document on Monday, emphasizing that it must embody the aspirations of the state’s citizens. Speaking at a high-level meeting in Mumbai, Fadnavis highlighted that over 400,000 residents contributed ideas to the draft, ensuring it reflects the collective hopes of the people. He described the document as a historic roadmap that will guide future policies and position Maharashtra as a global leader.
“This vision document is not just a plan; it’s a commitment to making Maharashtra the best in India and competitive on the world stage,” Fadnavis said. The document outlines short-, medium-, and long-term goals, focusing on sustainable growth, innovation, and inclusivity. He urged government departments to integrate cutting-edge technology, innovative solutions, and global best practices to achieve these ambitious targets.
The meeting saw presentations from key departments, including agriculture, urban development, public health, tourism, transport, and public works, each outlining their contributions to the vision. Fadnavis stressed that the targets are realistic but require proactive adoption of modern tools and forward-thinking strategies.
