The Maharashtra Board declares HSC Class 12 results today; results are available at 1 PM on mahahsscboard.in and hscresult.mkcl.org.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is preparing to announce the Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results for 2026, with over 15.32 lakh students awaiting their scores. This year’s HSC examinations were conducted during February and March across the state, covering multiple academic and vocational streams.

According to official figures, a total of 1,532,487 students registered for the examination. Among them, the science stream had the highest number of candidates, with 799,773 students. The arts stream accounted for 380,692 registrations, while 320,152 students appeared from the commerce stream. These numbers reflect the continued strong participation in higher secondary education across Maharashtra.

Apart from the traditional streams, vocational education also recorded notable participation. Around 27,378 students registered for vocational courses, while another 4,492 candidates enrolled through Industrial Training Institutes (ITI). The inclusion of these categories highlights the state board’s broader educational structure that supports both academic and skill-based pathways.

The results are expected to be closely watched by students seeking admission to universities, professional colleges and competitive programmes. Performance in the HSC examination often plays a major role in determining eligibility for undergraduate courses in science, commerce, arts, engineering, medicine and management institutions across India.

Last year, the Maharashtra HSC result was declared on May 5, with the board recording an overall pass percentage of 91.88 per cent. In 2025, the examinations were held between February 11 and March 11. The strong pass percentage set a benchmark that many students and parents will compare against once the 2026 results are released.

Students are expected to access their marks through the official board websites and digital platforms such as DigiLocker once results are announced. Schools are also likely to provide guidance on mark sheets, revaluation procedures and supplementary examinations. With lakhs of candidates involved, the declaration of the HSC result remains one of Maharashtra’s most significant annual academic events.
