Announcing his India visit on Instagram, Messi said he was “truly excited” to visit the “beautiful country” again, expressing delight at the chance to participate in “concerts, football clinics, a paddle cup, and various cultural experiences.” He also thanked The Satadru Dutta Initiative for facilitating his return, adding that it would be an honour to meet “India’s biggest stars and dignitaries.” Messi last visited India in 2011 when he captained Argentina against Venezuela at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium.
