KIMS Hospitals launches Telangana's first Total Laboratory Automation system at its Secunderabad facility.
KIMS Hospitals on Saturday inaugurated Telangana’s first Total Laboratory Automation (TLA) system at its Secunderabad facility, marking a major leap in diagnostic technology for the region. The state-of-the-art system promises faster and more accurate results, setting a new benchmark for patient care and laboratory efficiency.
The TLA system, inaugurated at the 2nd Floor Laboratory of KIMS Hospitals, integrates cutting-edge dry chemistry technologies with automated workflows, significantly reducing manual intervention and the risk of pre-analytical and analytical errors. Officials emphasized that this advancement ensures faster turnaround times, improved diagnostic accuracy, and enhanced patient safety.
Dr. Radhika Chowdary, Chief of Laboratory Medicine, and Dr. Mohammad Moinuddin, Consultant Biochemist, highlighted that the TLA facility supports high-volume testing while maintaining consistent quality. The automation enables seamless clinical decision-making by providing rapid and reliable laboratory results for both routine and emergency investigations.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior leadership and medical professionals, including Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman & Managing Director of KIMS Group of Hospitals, and Dr. Sambit Sahu, Medical Director of KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad. The leadership described the launch as a “milestone in diagnostic excellence” for the region.
