IGNOU Extends ODL and Online Admission Deadline to July 31

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for fresh admissions to its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes for the 2026 academic session. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications until July 31, 2026, giving prospective students additional time to complete the admission process. The extension is expected to benefit applicants who were unable to register before the earlier deadline.

According to the university, candidates seeking admission can apply through the official IGNOU admission portal by completing the online registration process. Before submitting their applications, students have been advised to carefully read the admission guidelines and eligibility criteria to ensure that all required information and supporting documents are uploaded correctly. The university has cautioned that errors in the application form may lead to delays or complications during the admission process.

Applicants are required to fill in their personal, academic and contact details, upload the prescribed documents and complete the payment of the applicable admission fee through the online portal. Once the application is successfully submitted, candidates are advised to save or download the confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference. IGNOU recommends verifying all details before final submission to avoid the need for corrections later.
