Yogi Launches Namo Yuva Run to Promote Drug-Free, Developed Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today launched the Namo Yuva Run, a vibrant marathon aimed at fostering a drug-free India, while rallying support for the ambitious 'Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh' campaign. Flagging off the event from his residence at Kalidas Marg, which culminated at the 1090 crossing, Adityanath emphasized that self-reliance and a healthy society are the cornerstones of development, resonating with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India.
Speaking to a spirited crowd, Adityanath declared, “The 'Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh' campaign is uniting all sections of society. From villages to cities, our goal is clear: self-reliance through a healthy, drug-free society.” The marathon, part of the Seva Pakhwada (service fortnight), symbolized this resolve, drawing thousands of youths eager to champion the cause. Adityanath underscored that initiatives like the Namo Yuva Run are vital for building a robust, addiction-free nation, aligning with Modi’s call to make 'Viksit Bharat' a way of life.
The Chief Minister outlined Modi’s five key principles for a developed India: eradicating traces of colonial slavery, respecting cultural heritage, honoring the armed forces, promoting social equality, and fulfilling civic duties with integrity. He praised the transformative Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms, describing them as a “Diwali gift” from the Prime Minister. These reforms, he noted, offer relief to the poor by reducing costs on essentials like educational materials, milk, curd, and ghee, while imposing heavy taxes on drugs and wasteful spending, creating jobs and empowering traders.

Adityanath also issued a clarion call to the youth, urging them to channel their boundless energy for national progress. “Youth power is immense, but addiction leads to ruin,” he warned, announcing that on Vijayadashami, communities across Uttar Pradesh will burn effigies symbolizing sin, corruption, injustice, and drugs. This symbolic act, he said, would reinforce the state’s commitment to eliminating societal evils.
As the 'Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh' campaign gains momentum, Adityanath’s marathon has energized the youth, setting the stage for a healthier, self-reliant India. With elections on the horizon, the initiative signals the BJP’s focus on development and social reform, aiming to transform Uttar Pradesh into a beacon of progress.
