Yogi Adityanath: 'Kaalnemis' Are Harming Sanatan Dharma Under Religion's Cover

Yogi warns of Kaalnemis harming Sanatan Dharma and vows to stop love jihad & conversions.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday warned that several “Kaalnemis” — a reference to deceptive demonic forces — are harming Sanatan Dharma under the guise of religion, urging people to remain alert against such elements. Addressing a large religious gathering in Haryana’s Sonipat district, he stressed that Dharma and the nation must remain supreme for saints, seers, and ascetics.

Speaking at the idol consecration ceremony and grand Asht Maan Bhandara of the Nath tradition at Baba Nagewala Dham in Murthal, Adityanath asserted that there would be zero tolerance for threats to women’s safety. He issued a strong warning against illegal religious conversions, love jihad, and anti-national conspiracies, stating that exploitation of daughters in any form would not be tolerated.

The chief minister said attempts to alter India’s demography and weaken social harmony would be dealt with firmly through strict action and public awareness. Recalling a 2009 Kerala High Court observation, he claimed that love jihad was part of a larger conspiracy, adding that similar patterns are now visible across multiple states.

Adityanath also expressed concern over the decline of the joint family system, calling it the foundation of India’s moral and cultural values. He emphasized that Dharma is not merely a mode of worship but a holistic path of progress that integrates material, spiritual, and cultural development to build a strong nation.

Praising the Nath Panth as one of India’s oldest spiritual traditions, he said it has consistently inspired social unity and purposeful living. He highlighted national achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and large-scale peaceful participation in religious gatherings as symbols of India’s resurgence and cultural revival.

Warning about the growing menace of drugs, Adityanath said hostile forces were attempting to weaken India by pushing narcotics across borders. He also stressed the importance of water conservation, protecting sacred rivers and ponds, and lauded Haryana’s efforts to revive the Saraswati river, calling environmental responsibility essential for the nation’s future.
