Kashi Transformed into Global Hub Under Modi’s Vision: Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for reshaping Varanasi into a vibrant center of faith and progress over the past 11 years.
Speaking after Modi launched 44 projects worth Rs 3,880 crore in his constituency, Adityanath said devotees worldwide are drawn to the “new Kashi,” revitalized with modern infrastructure and cultural pride.
“Kashi, once choked by narrow lanes and traffic, now shines with over Rs 50,000 crore in projects for health, tourism, and connectivity,” Adityanath said, crediting Modi’s vision. He highlighted the city’s role in hosting over 3 crore pilgrims during the recent Maha Kumbh, a global spectacle of devotion.
Adityanath praised the Namami Gange project for rejuvenating the Ganga, enhancing the Kumbh’s success. He also lauded Modi’s push for GI tags, with Kashi and nearby districts leading nationally, empowering local artisans.
The Ayushman Bharat scheme has benefited 10 crore in UP alone, while the Vaya Vandana Yojana now offers Rs 5 lakh in health coverage to seniors over 70, with 50,000 Kashi residents already enrolled.
The CM spotlighted Banas Dairy’s innovative support for farmers and cattle rearers, boosting incomes through bonuses and value addition. “Kashi’s transformation reflects Modi’s commitment to inclusive growth,” Adityanath said, noting its rise as a beacon of heritage and development.
