US, UK, France, and Others Condemn Red Fort Terror Attack, Issue Travel Advisories
World leaders mourn victims; US, UK issue travel alerts.
The car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, 2025, which killed 13 people and injured more than 20, has elicited widespread international condemnation and expressions of solidarity with India. Governments and diplomatic missions from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Australia, and Iran issued statements of grief and support, while several nations activated security advisories for their citizens in India.
The United States Embassy in New Delhi released a formal security alert, confirming the detonation of a Hyundai i20 vehicle near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station at 6:52 PM. The statement urged American nationals to avoid the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk areas, refrain from large gatherings, remain vigilant in tourist locations, and monitor local media. “Our sincere condolences to the families who lost loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured,” the embassy added.
The British High Commission echoed this caution, with High Commissioner Lindy Cameron stating, “My thoughts are with all those affected.” An updated travel advisory instructed UK citizens in the vicinity to comply with local authority directives. The advisory aligns with ongoing regional risk assessments, including heightened alerts in Jammu and Kashmir and parts of the Northeast.

India has placed airports, metro stations, and government installations on high alert following the incident, classified as a terrorist attack under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed a comprehensive investigation, including analysis of CCTV footage and forensic evidence, with all possibilities under review. The blast site—adjacent to a UNESCO World Heritage landmark—remains cordoned off as multi-agency probes continue.
