UPSC Announces Direct Recruitment For Various Government Posts Across Departments

UPSC announces direct recruitment for multiple government posts.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released fresh recruitment-related updates for 2026, including multiple direct and lateral hiring opportunities across various central government departments, according to the latest official notices and recruitment advertisements published on its portal.

The commission has opened applications for several posts under its recruitment framework, including specialised roles and deputation-based vacancies across ministries and government offices. These include positions in technical, administrative, and advisory capacities, which are listed periodically under UPSC’s recruitment advertisements section on its official website.

In addition to direct recruitment posts, UPSC continues to manage large-scale competitive examinations such as the Civil Services Examination 2026, which has already announced around 933 vacancies for IAS, IPS, IFS, and other Group A services. Applications for these examinations are conducted through the official online portal within specified deadlines earlier this year.

Recent recruitment notices also show openings for specialised posts such as assistant-level roles, scientific positions, and deputation-based appointments within UPSC and allied ministries. These are typically filled through either direct recruitment, interviews, or selection based on eligibility criteria defined in individual advertisements released by the commission.

Authorities advise candidates to regularly check the official UPSC website for updated vacancy lists, eligibility conditions, and application timelines, as recruitment advertisements are issued in phases throughout the year depending on departmental requirements. Each notification includes detailed instructions regarding selection procedures and required qualifications.

The latest updates underline UPSC’s ongoing role not only as a civil services examination body but also as a central recruitment agency handling diverse government appointments across India’s administrative framework.
