UP CM Launches ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in Lucknow

Campaign urges every home to hoist the tricolour.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Lucknow on Wednesday, ahead of India’s 79th Independence Day, calling the national flag a powerful symbol of pride, unity, and gratitude toward freedom fighters and soldiers. The event, held at Kalidas Marg, saw participation from Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with several state dignitaries, two days before the national celebration.

Speaking at the launch, Adityanath emphasized that the campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, aims to spread patriotism to every household. “As India completes 78 years of independence and enters Amrit Kaal, every citizen must honor the Constitution, national symbols, and our revolutionaries,” he said. He noted that over the past decade, the campaign has strengthened national pride, with the Tiranga Yatra becoming a vibrant expression of gratitude to Bharat Mata and the nation’s brave heroes.

Adityanath described the Tiranga Yatra as more than a march—it’s a movement to unite communities across villages, towns, and districts. “The tricolour should fly in every home as a mark of respect for our country and its soldiers,” he urged, encouraging enthusiastic participation. He highlighted India’s global stature, referencing the valor of Indian forces in Operation Sindoor, and called for unity against divisive forces based on caste, region, religion, or language.
