UGC-NET Results 2026: Over 4,000 Candidates Qualify For JRF

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) for 84 subjects, with more than 4,000 candidates qualifying for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The examination outcome covers a large number of candidates who appeared for the test as part of their plans for higher education, research and academic careers. The results include candidates eligible for different academic pathways under the UGC-NET system, including PhD admissions and JRF. The announcement provides candidates with their eligibility status following the completion of the examination and the subsequent evaluation process conducted by the testing agency.

A senior NTA official said that approximately 6.07 lakh candidates appeared for the examination across the 84 subjects.
