UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key: Steps to Check, Raise Objections

UGC NET June 2026 answer key awaited; check process explained here.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key, response sheet and question papers for the UGC NET June 2026 examination shortly on its official website. Although more than two weeks have passed since the examination concluded, the agency has not yet announced an official date for the release of the answer key. Once published, candidates will be able to estimate their probable scores and, if necessary, challenge any answers they believe are incorrect within the prescribed objection window.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted in computer-based mode on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 and July 5 at examination centres across India. The examination determines the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor, admission to PhD programmes and the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in various subjects. Candidates have been awaiting the release of the provisional answer key and individual response sheets to assess their performance before the declaration of results.

After the provisional answer key is released, candidates will be able to access their response sheets and question papers by visiting the official UGC NET website. To view the documents, candidates will need to log in using their application number, date of birth and the security pin displayed on the login page. They can then download the provisional answer key, compare their recorded responses with the official answers and calculate their expected scores.

The NTA will also open an objection window following the publication of the provisional answer key. Candidates who identify any discrepancies or believe an answer is incorrect will be permitted to challenge it by submitting supporting evidence online. A non-refundable fee of ₹200 per challenged question must be paid through the prescribed online payment mode. Subject experts will review all valid objections before preparing the final answer key.

Following the evaluation of objections, the NTA will publish the final answer key, which will form the basis for the declaration of the UGC NET June 2026 results. No further challenges will be accepted after the final answer key is released. Candidates are therefore advised to carefully examine their response sheets and submit any objections within the specified deadline once the challenge window becomes active.

Applicants are advised to regularly monitor the official UGC NET website for updates regarding the release of the provisional answer key, response sheets and objection schedule. As of now, the NTA has not announced an official release date, but candidates are expected to receive access to the documents soon. They should keep their login credentials ready to ensure a smooth download process and complete any objection formalities within the prescribed timeline.
