Donald Trump has said he has not directly spoken with Xi Jinping regarding the ongoing Iran war, even as tensions in West Asia continue to escalate and global powers closely monitor the situation.Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump clarified that there had been no direct communication with the Chinese leader on the conflict. However, he emphasised that the United States maintains a “very good relationship” with China and suggested that Beijing is interested in seeing the conflict come to an end.
Despite the absence of direct talks, Trump issued a warning that China could face serious consequences if it were to provide military assistance to Iran. His remarks underscore growing concerns in Washington over potential external involvement in the conflict, which has already triggered significant geopolitical and economic repercussions.
