Tragic Kota Crash Claims Four Family Members

Family's fatal crash shocks Rajasthan community

In a heart-wrenching incident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Kota, Rajasthan, four members of a family perished when their minibus collided with a truck in the early hours of July 13, 2025. The victims, identified as Geeta Soni (63), her sons Anil Soni (48), Brijesh Soni (45), and son-in-law Suresh Soni (45), all from Sitabadi in Karoli, Rajasthan, lost their lives in the 5 a.m. accident. Police suspect the driver, possibly drowsy, lost control, leading to the devastating crash.

Three family members died instantly, while a fourth succumbed to injuries at Kota’s MBS Hospital, where 10 other injured passengers are receiving treatment, according to DSP Shivam Joshi. The bodies have been sent for postmortem. This tragic event underscores the dangers of drowsy driving on high-speed expressways, leaving a community in mourning and raising urgent questions about road safety.
