Top leaders wish Piyush Goyal on his birthday and praise his work.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended birthday greetings to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, praising his contributions to strengthening India’s trade and commerce ecosystem and advancing the government’s broader goal of self-reliance. In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister acknowledged Goyal’s role in promoting economic growth and said he prayed for his long and healthy life.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his wishes, highlighting Goyal’s efforts in implementing the government’s development agenda. Shah noted that Goyal’s work as Commerce and Industry Minister has played an important role in furthering the vision of a strong and prosperous India under the current administration. He also extended his best wishes for the minister’s good health and longevity.
Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) joined in the greetings, with party president Nitin Nabin extending heartfelt wishes and praying for Goyal’s well-being. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi also praised Goyal’s leadership, describing him as a key figure in driving India’s economic expansion, strengthening global trade relations, and supporting the growth of domestic manufacturing and entrepreneurship.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also conveyed her greetings, lauding Goyal’s contribution to industrial development and economic progress. She stated that his efforts have helped elevate India’s trade and industry landscape and prayed for his continued good health and success in public service.
Over the years, Piyush Goyal has held several important portfolios in the Union government, including Railways, Finance, Coal, Power, New and Renewable Energy, Corporate Affairs, and Mines. He has also served as Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha and currently plays a key role in shaping India’s commerce and trade policies.
The widespread greetings from senior political leaders reflected Goyal’s long-standing presence in the central government and his involvement in key policy areas that have influenced India’s economic and infrastructure development over the past decade.
