Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Greet People On Janmashtami

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extended greetings to people of the state on Friday on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Their messages highlighted the teachings of Lord Krishna, with appeals for people to follow the principles of dharma, righteousness, honesty, devotion and selfless service in their daily lives.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla conveyed his warm wishes to the people of Telangana and recalled the timeless teachings associated with Lord Krishna. He noted that the principles of the Bhagavad Gita encourage people to perform their duties with sincerity and devotion without becoming attached to the results. He also expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, progress, prosperity, brotherhood, amity and harmony across the state.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also extended his greetings to the people on Sri Krishna Janmashtami and highlighted the Bhagavad Gita as a guiding force for human life. He noted that understanding and practising Lord Krishna's teachings can help people navigate their responsibilities and challenges. The Chief Minister also prayed for the blessings of Sri Krishna to remain with the people of Telangana.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted truth, righteousness, justice and moral values as key teachings associated with Lord Krishna. Leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi also extended their greetings, with T. Harish Rao noting the significance of Janmashtami as the celebration of Sri Krishna's birth and his role in upholding righteousness and confronting injustice.

BRS leader K. Kavitha also greeted people on the occasion and highlighted the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita in guiding humanity. She invoked the symbolism of Lord Krishna's Panchajanya conch and linked its message to her political position, stating that her party would work towards what she described as a socially just Telangana. Her message framed the festival's spiritual symbolism in the context of the state's political discourse.

Janmashtami is observed to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna and is marked by religious ceremonies and celebrations across Telangana and other parts of India. The greetings from the state's constitutional and political leadership focused on values associated with the festival, including righteousness, harmony, duty, justice and the pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous society.
