CM Revanth Reddy distributes instruments and releases a CD showcasing students’ musical talents.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy distributed musical instruments to visually impaired students trained in music through the state’s welfare department in Karimnagar district on Tuesday. The students, who showcased their talent with a live musical performance, impressed the Chief Minister and attendees. During the event, Reddy also released a CD featuring songs recorded by the students, highlighting their skills and the state’s efforts to empower differently abled individuals through vocational training. The initiative reflects Telangana’s commitment to inclusive development and support for marginalised communities.
The event was attended by State Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Adluri Laxam Kumar, alongside Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpathi and other officials. The distribution of instruments aims to encourage the students’ musical pursuits and provide them with tools to further their talents. The welfare department’s music training programme in Karimnagar is part of broader efforts to equip visually impaired individuals with skills for self-reliance and creative expression.
In a separate interaction, Chief Minister Reddy met Gundeti Rahul, a Warangal resident who lost both legs in a tragic train accident in 2024. After being pushed off a train by miscreants while travelling to Rajasthan, Rahul underwent amputations. Upon learning of his situation, Reddy facilitated medical treatment through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and provided artificial limbs, enabling Rahul to regain mobility.
