Tejashwi Yadav Accuses Bihar Govt Of Remote Control From Gujarat

Bihar politics accusation Gujarat remote control claim by Tejashwi Yadav

RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Monday launched a strong attack on the ruling BJP–JD(U) coalition in Bihar, alleging that the state is effectively being “run by remote control from Gujarat” and accusing the government of prolonged misgovernance and administrative failure.

Speaking to IANS, Yadav claimed that Bihar’s development and governance priorities had been neglected over the past two decades. He alleged that decision-making was not rooted within the state and that key political and administrative influence was being exercised from outside Bihar. His remarks come amid ongoing political tensions between the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the ruling alliance.

The RJD leader also raised concerns over law and order in the state, alleging that elements linked to the BJP, including individuals he described as “agents within the JD(U),” were contributing to deteriorating governance conditions. He further claimed that Bihar’s financial resources had been “drained” without corresponding improvements in employment, infrastructure, or public services.

Yadav criticised the government over what he described as administrative stagnation, alleging that no Cabinet meetings had been held for an extended period and that governance processes had slowed down. He also accused the administration of rising corruption, unemployment, inflation, and lack of industrial growth, arguing that Bihar continued to lag behind in key development indicators such as per capita income, education, and healthcare.

Reacting to political developments within the state, including reports of changes in leadership-related messaging and cabinet expansion discussions, Yadav reiterated his “remote control” charge, asserting that real authority was exercised outside Bihar. He also commented on internal administrative functioning, claiming that governance had become inactive and disconnected from public concerns.

Separately, Yadav announced the rebranding of the party’s student wing from Chatra RJD (CRJD) to the Socialist Students Association of India (SSAI), citing compliance with legal directions regarding political activity on educational campuses. He stated that the new organisation would function in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines restricting party-affiliated political operations in universities.

On national politics, the RJD leader also expressed support for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, stating confidence in her electoral prospects and indicating that his party would extend support to the Trinamool Congress in the state.
