Technical Snag Forces London-Bound Flight to Abort Take-Off From Bengaluru

A London-bound Virgin Atlantic flight carrying 270 passengers made an emergency return to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru after developing a technical problem shortly after take-off. The aircraft departed from the airport at around 8.20 a.m. and encountered the issue soon after becoming airborne. Sources at Bangalore International Airport Limited, which operates the airport, said the flight subsequently returned to Bengaluru after remaining in the air for some time.

According to the information available, the crew circled the aircraft near Tumakuru for more than half an hour after the technical issue was detected. The decision to remain airborne before returning to Bengaluru was part of the crew’s response to the problem, although specific details about the nature of the technical snag were not immediately available. The aircraft was eventually brought back to the airport for further checks.

The flight was carrying 270 passengers and was scheduled to travel from Bengaluru to London. The technical issue disrupted the planned journey and resulted in the aircraft returning to its departure airport rather than continuing towards its destination.
