Tamil Nadu’s Economy Soars to New Heights

State achieves 11.19% growth under DMK regime.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin announced on Wednesday that the state’s economic growth has surged to an impressive 11.19% under the Dravidian model governance, marking a significant milestone not seen in 14 years.

Speaking at an event where he distributed job appointment orders for the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, Stalin highlighted the remarkable achievement, crediting the DMK regime for driving this economic upswing. “The talk of the town, the talk of the nation, is Tamil Nadu’s economic growth reaching a new high of 11.19%,” he declared, emphasizing the state’s robust performance.

According to revised estimates from the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Tamil Nadu’s growth for 2024-25 has exceeded earlier projections of 9.69% presented in the state’s budget, reflecting a 2.2% higher growth rate. Stalin underscored that this achievement underscores the effectiveness of the DMK’s policies in fostering economic development.

The chief minister also noted that this level of growth, last witnessed over a decade ago during a previous DMK tenure, signals a strong resurgence for Tamil Nadu, positioning it as a leading economic powerhouse in India.
