On July 24, 2025, Apollo Hospital, Chennai, released an official statement addressing the health condition of Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road, Chennai, following a sudden onset of head discomfort that prompted immediate medical attention.
A series of comprehensive medical tests were conducted to determine the cause of the discomfort. The results indicated a mild variation in sodium levels, which was identified as the underlying issue. A team of senior medical experts at Apollo Hospitals is providing appropriate treatment and closely monitoring the Chief Minister’s condition.
The hospital reports that the Chief Minister is responding well to the treatment, and his condition is now stable. Dr. Anil B G, Director of Medical Services at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, confirmed that the Chief Minister is expected to make a full recovery and resume his routine official duties within a couple of days.
