Tamil Nadu Celebrates Police Day with CM Stalin Participation

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin led a stirring pledge ceremony for police personnel at Rajarathinam Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday, marking the state’s Police Day celebrations. Joined by Director General of Police (DGP) G Venkataraman and Greater Chennai Police Commissioner A Arun, the Chief Minister administered the official pledge to honor the relentless dedication of the state’s police force in ensuring public safety.

In his welcome address, Commissioner Arun reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to realizing CM Stalin’s vision of a crime-free Tamil Nadu. “Our personnel are working tirelessly to maintain law and order, and this event underscores our resolve to serve the public with unwavering dedication,” he said. The pledge, led by the Chief Minister, symbolized the force’s collective promise to uphold justice and protect citizens.

DGP Venkataraman, recently appointed, highlighted the significance of Police Day, celebrated on September 6. “This is the first time Tamil Nadu has designated a day to recognize the round-the-clock service of our police personnel,” he noted. He emphasized that the celebration serves as a tribute to the sacrifices and hard work of the force, motivating them to perform their duties with greater efficiency and pride.
