Strengthening Exam Standards: NTA Launches 'Pariksha Karmayogi' to Build Official Capacity Nationwide
NTA launches 'Pariksha Karmayogi' programme to train examination officials for NEET UG exams
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a new capacity-building initiative titled “Pariksha Karmayogi” to strengthen the conduct, supervision, and monitoring of major examinations, including the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG). The programme has been introduced on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform and is aimed at improving the efficiency and preparedness of examination personnel across the country.
The initiative comes as part of the NTA’s efforts to enhance transparency, security, and standardisation in the conduct of large-scale offline examinations. Officials said the programme is specifically designed for Centre Superintendents, Invigilators, and other examination functionaries who play a critical role in ensuring that exams are conducted fairly and smoothly.
According to the agency, the training programme focuses on strengthening the skills and knowledge of examination officials through structured learning modules. The objective is to ensure uniform implementation of examination protocols and reduce the possibility of procedural lapses during high-stakes national entrance tests. The move is expected to improve overall coordination at examination centres and reinforce confidence in the examination system.

The “Pariksha Karmayogi” course consists of four modules that cover various stages of the examination process. The first module introduces participants to the programme and outlines the duties and responsibilities of examination personnel. It also emphasizes the importance of maintaining fairness, transparency, confidentiality, and integrity throughout the examination cycle.
NTA stated that the programme has been developed to address evolving challenges in exam administration and to create a well-trained network of officials capable of handling large-scale examinations efficiently. The initiative is expected to play an important role in examinations conducted by the agency, including NEET-UG and other national-level entrance tests attended by lakhs of candidates every year.
The launch of the programme reflects the government's broader focus on capacity building and institutional strengthening through digital learning platforms. By providing standardized training to examination staff across the country, the NTA aims to enhance operational readiness, improve examination management practices, and ensure a secure and credible testing environment for students.
