Siya Goyal's Father Says She Should Face Strictest Punishment If Found Guilty
Father Seeks Maximum Punishment If Daughter Convicted
The father of Siya Goyal, the 20-year-old woman accused in the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, has said his daughter should face the strictest punishment if she is found guilty. His remarks come weeks after Siya Goyal and her alleged partner, Chetan Chaudhary, were arrested in connection with the death of Agarwal, who was also Siya's fiancé. The case has drawn significant public attention due to the nature of the allegations and the relationship between the accused and the victim.
Speaking to ANI while addressing a separate food safety action involving his shop, Praveen Goyal said he had complete faith in the judicial process and would cooperate fully with the investigation. "Regarding my daughter, if she is found guilty, she should be given the strictest punishment. I stand with the judiciary and the law, and I will fully cooperate with the investigation," he said. His statement marks one of the strongest public responses from a close family member of an accused in the high-profile murder case.
At the same time, Praveen Goyal expressed concern over the impact the case has had on his family, claiming they have been unfairly targeted despite the investigation being focused on his daughter. He said the intense public scrutiny and repeated attention directed at his family had caused significant emotional distress. "People are repeatedly targeting my family, and it feels as though I am being punished instead. My family is suffering because of this. I have been under stress for a long time," he told ANI.

Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were arrested after investigators alleged their involvement in the murder of Ketan Agarwal, a businessman from Pune. Police have been probing the circumstances surrounding Agarwal's death, including the alleged roles of both accused. While investigators have made arrests in the case, the trial is yet to determine their culpability, and both accused remain entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
The murder investigation continues as police gather evidence and pursue legal proceedings against the accused. Authorities have not disclosed all details of the probe, citing the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, Praveen Goyal's comments have added another dimension to the case, highlighting the emotional toll on families connected to criminal investigations while reaffirming support for the legal process.
