The injured were swiftly transported to medical facilities, with the majority being treated at the Civil Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department and the Trauma Centre. Provincial Health Department Media Coordinator Dr. Waseem Baig confirmed that 19 individuals were admitted, some in critical condition, underscoring the severity of the incident.
In response to the tragedy, the Balochistan Health Department declared a state of emergency across hospitals in Quetta. Health Secretary Mujeebur Rehman issued directives for all medical personnel, including consultants, doctors, pharmacists, staff nurses, and paramedics, to remain on duty to handle the influx of patients. “We are fully mobilized to provide immediate care to those affected,” Rehman stated, as reported by Dawn.
